Born on this day in 1912, he was the first executive director of the Sierra Club and founder of Friends of the Earth. A fierce environmental activist, Brower was instrumental in saving wild lands. June 21, 2019 Friday is the Summer Solstice!
Summer Solstice is the first day of summer in the northern hemisphere and the longest day of the year. It can be a good opportunity for reflection, and to release doubts and fears. Make it a joyous day to commemorate the abundance of light and Nature with some fun activities, such as plant something new in the garden, make a flower crown or bring some flowers into your home, or host a celebration. |
