For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, today,September 23, 2019, marks the autumnal equinox (in the Southern Hemisphere, it's the Vernal, or spring, Equinox). Autumn is generally seen as a time of harvest and thanksgiving, a time of change as the trees lose their leaves, temperatures cool off, and Nature, including us humans, prepares for a time of rest and coming darkness as daylight hours are slowly getting shorter. As the trees change colors, though, fall is also a beautiful and colorful season when Nature struts her stuff. Have a happy Autumn! "How beautifully leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days." (John Burroughs)
